Resources

For Parents

This page explains how our practice-tracking system works, why we use it, and how you can help your child get the most out of archery.📱 About Our “App” (Website System)Our practice and fitness tracking system is built to help young archers build confidence, consistency, and healthy training habits.
It includes:

  • A simple Practice Tracker

  • A weekly Fitness/Wellness Tracker

  • A rotating Weekly Training Plan

  • A Calendar with schedule updates

  • Monthly progress summaries emailed to parents

All tools are mobile-friendly and designed for quick use at home or at the range.🎯 Why We Track Practice & FitnessArchery is a skill-based sport where progress comes from repetition, consistency, and attention to form. Tracking helps your archer:

  • Understand their training habits

  • See progress over time

  • Build accountability and independence

  • Notice patterns in form, focus, or fatigue

  • Improve goal setting and self-awareness

Fitness tracking is included because archery relies heavily on:

  • Shoulder stability

  • Core strength

  • Balance

  • Focus and breath control

These areas help kids stay injury-free and confident at the range.📬 Monthly ReportsYou’ll receive a monthly report during the last week of each month.
Reports include:

  • Number of practices logged

  • Total arrows shot

  • Fitness sessions completed

  • Any personal bests or PR highlights

  • Coach notes

  • Occasional reminders or club announcements

These reports help you stay connected to your child’s progress and know where they may need encouragement.

💡 How Parents Can Support Their ArcherSupporting a young archer doesn’t require knowing the sport inside and out—just showing interest and encouraging healthy routines goes a long way. At home, you can help by reminding your child to log their practice or fitness activities and giving them a calm space to reflect, stretch, or stay organized with their gear. At the range, simply asking what they focused on that day or celebrating effort rather than accuracy helps build confidence and keeps pressure low. Encouraging consistency, rest when needed, and allowing your archer to set their own goals all support a balanced mindset. Above all, your enthusiasm and steady support help them stay motivated, confident, and excited to learn.🤝 Contact Coach MelIf you have questions about training, practice schedules, equipment, or your child’s progress, please reach out anytime.I’m here to help your archer enjoy the sport, grow their confidence, and develop strong lifelong skills.
